FOUR DIFFERENT IDENTITIES, ONE GROUP

 

BCS Group is a multinational company active in the agricultural mechanisation sector with three brands that have written the history of Italian agriculture BCS, FERRARI and PASQUALI – and operating in the industrial sector with the MOSA brand.

 

It designs, manufactures and markets compact tractors for specialised agriculture, professional motor mowers and two-wheel tractors, forage mowing attachments and lawn mowers for greens maintenance, as well as generating sets, engine driven welders and lighting towers.

 

BCS Group has around 800 employees among its three production plants in Italy (Abbiategrasso, Luzzara and Cusago) and subsidiaries in India, China and Europe (Spain, Portugal, France and Germany).

 

It is also present worldwide with an extensive distribution network covering more than one hundred countries.

1942
Eng. Luigi Castoldi designed the first self-propelled mower with an internal combustion engine.
First patents filed: 'oscillating head' and 'oscillating assembly' for the cutter bar of motor mowers.
1943
BCS was founded and production of the first motor mowers with a raised axle structure started in Abbiategrasso (Milan).
1963
MOSA was founded and production of the first portable engine driven welders started in Cusago (Milan).
The milestone of the first 100,000 BCS machines sold was achieved.
1970
BCS began production of the first multifunctional two-wheel tractors, centre bar motor mowers and rear disc mowers for tractors.
1981
The subsidiary BCS IBÉRICA SAU is established in Spain.
1983
MOSA began production of the first gensets.

1988
BCS acquires the FERRARI brand, a historical Italian manufacturer of specialised tractors, the sales network and the production plant in Luzzara (Reggio Emilia).
The subsidiary that FERRARI owns in France was integrated, keeping its original name FERRARI FRANCE SAS.
1990
The BCS PORTUGAL subsidiary was established in Portugal.
1993
Production of the first series of four equal-wheel tractors with 32-speed gearbox, in articulated and steering-wheel versions.
1994
Introduction of the haymaking line, of the first front disc mowers for tractors as a new forage cutting concept.
1995
The milestone of the first 500,000 agricultural and industrial machines sold was achieved.
The subsidiary MOSA GMBH was founded in Germany.
1998
Production of the first series of four equal-wheel tractors with 12- and 24-speed gearbox, in articulated and steering-wheel versions.
1999
BCS acquired the PASQUALI brand, a historical competitor manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
2000
Eng. Fabrizio Castoldi, son of the founder, became the new Chairman of BCS S.p.A.
Production of the new DT series of tractors, conventional dual-drive tractors with 24-speed gearbox.
2003
BCS patented Dualsteer®, a dual steering system for specialised tractors, unique on the market.
MOSA developed the DSP digital/electronic control for arc welding processes, an international first.
2004
BCS INDIA PVT LTD subsidiary established in India.

MOSA developed a permanent magnet alternator which, combined with the DSP, made it possible to realise the first autonomous welding inverter (Chopper).
2006
Production of the first series of SDT tractors with short wheelbase and unequal wheels with 32-speed gearbox, in Dualsteer® and steering wheel versions.
2007
The milestone of the first million agricultural and industrial machines sold was achieved.
2008
BCS patented PowerSafe®, the hydraulically actuated clutch in oil bath for motor mowers and two-wheel tractors.

BCS patented the MultiFloat Frame®, a multiple movement frame supported by a parallelogram kinematic mechanism for Neva front-mounted mower conditioners.

2011
Subsidiary BCS CHANGZHOU AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY CO. LTD opened in China.
Production of the first series of motor mowers with HY hydrostatic drive, hydraulically operated clutch and steering devices.
2012
BCS Group was founded as an entity incorporating the BCS, FERRARI, PASQUALI and MOSA brands.
MOSA began production of the first lighting towers.
2021
Presentation of the entire range of specialised tractors with Stage V engines at EIMA International.

BCS Group’s production activities are carried out in three ISO 9001-certified plants in Italy, each of which is dedicated to specific product lines.

Distribution is run by a network of over 700 authorised dealers in Italy.

 

BCS Group is present worldwide with more than 100 importers and 6 sales subsidiaries, some of which also produce for the domestic market.

BCS IBÉRICA SAU, Terrassa.
Founded in 1981, it is involved in the commercialisation of agricultural, greens maintenance and Mosa products in Spain and Latin American countries.

BCS PORTUGAL, Benavente.
Since 1990, it has been involved in the commercialisation of agricultural and greens maintenance machinery in Portugal, later also supporting Mosa products.

FRANCE

FERRARI FRANCE SAS, Saint Martin Bellevue.
With the acquisition of the Ferrari brand in 1988, it became part of BCS Group and gradually expanded its distribution activities in France to include the BCS, Pasquali and Mosa brands.

MOSA GMBH, Allershausen.
Established in 1995, it was initially involved in the marketing of industrial machinery in all German-speaking European countries, later also distributing agricultural and landscaping machinery.

BCS INDIA PVT LTD, Ludhiana.
Founded in 2004 to distribute BCS agricultural machinery in India, it later also started its own manufacturing operation, with specific equipment for the needs of the Indian market and neighbouring countries.

BCS CHINA, Changzhou.
Established in 2011, it handles the distribution of the Group’s agricultural machinery in the Chinese market. Previously, in 2005, a joint venture was started for the production and marketing of engine driven welders and generating sets.
